About me

Hi, my name is Ed ter Haar Ahlström and I am living together with my wife Nina in Åkersberga, a small town about 30  kilometers north of Stockholm, Sweden. I was born in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) in 1964, and grew up in Amstelveen, a few kilometers south of Amsterdam.

We have 2 grown up children, Jamie & Jeffrey (30& 34years old). I am working for a construction company and Nina is currently retired. My main interests are my grandchildren (Lukas, Isabelle & Jakob), computers and ham radio.

In 1994 we decided to move to Sweden. We sold our house in Amstelveen  and moved to Akersberga. The area is also called Roslagen.  Akersberga is a wonderful place with lots of nature, forests and even a real viking graveyard (800-1000 aC) near our house! Lots of area around the village are being used for playing golf. This is a very popular sport  here. During the summer we have ponds and nearby sea where we can swim and  leisure. The winters can be long.  Of course my radio hobby and the  computer are helping me through this boring time!
